The Gokongwei family’s Robinsons Hotels & Resorts (RHR) is set to launch a luxury villa resort in Siargao in 2026, expanding its portfolio of homegrown brands, which include Go Hotels, Summit Hotels and Resorts, and Fili Hotel.

The hospitality group is developing the project in partnership with Hira Holdings, owned by the Hiranand family—a low-key but prominent name in business circles, known for being the pioneering franchisee of fast food giant Jollibee.

RHR said in a statement it signed a 10-year management deal with Hira “to bring global hospitality standards with a unique Filipino heart of service to Siargao.”

“We are grateful to RHR for opening this opportunity to us,” Hira Holdings president Haresh Hiranand said in a statement.

“We are confident in the brands and capacity of Robinsons Hotels; that’s why it was easy for us to trust and sign with our very first hotel, and we look forward to building more with them in the future,” he added.

Apart from Jollibee stores, the Hiranands have franchised other restaurants from the Jollibee Group, including Chowking and Mang Inasal, according to Tatler Magazine.

RHR said it was seeking more partners for franchising and management agreements.

“We are confident in the bullish economic projection of the country and with our expertise in hotel brand development we would like to enable optimistic investors who want to venture into the hospitality industry as well,” RHR senior vice president Baron Jolly said in the same statement.
