The new route, operating three times a week, allows travelers from Catarman to connect via Cebu to Boracay, Coron, Bacolod, Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, and Siargao.
The inaugural flight PR 2653 took off from Mactan-Cebu International Airport on March 4 at 9:50 a.m., landing in Catarman at 10:50 a.m., while PR 2654 returned to Cebu shortly after.
PAL is deploying its 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 for the route, ensuring a comfortable passenger experience.
This marks the 22nd route operated from PAL’s Cebu hub, where the flag carrier already serves 18 domestic destinations and four international routes, including Bangkok, Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul.
PAL is also set to launch nonstop Cebu-Ho Chi Minh flights on May 2, 2025, further expanding its regional footprint.
