The final race weekend, held Aug. 9 at Clark International Speedway, also featured the highly anticipated debut of the Tamaraw OMR Concept in circuit racing.

Tamaraw OMR makes its mark:

In the Tamaraw Sprint Race Exhibition, former Vios Cup champions Allan UyDaniel MirandaEstefano RiveraJohn Dizon, and GR development driver Aaron Guevara tested the locally developed Tamaraw OMR’s limits. The vehicle’s lap time matched that of the Novice Class Vios CVT OMRs and even outpaced a GR 86 and Vios OMR Legacy Class car in the drag race.

“Since the Tamaraw OMR Concept’s debut in Race Weekend 2, we’ve made significant upgrades focused on safety and handling. As the first country to develop an OMR vehicle, it’s challenging and we have a lot of work ahead of us, but so far, we are impressed with the performance of the Tamaraw this weekend,” said TMP GR section supervisor JC Gaon.

More than just a race:

The final weekend also brought back the Endurance Race, where TMP president Masando Hashimoto secured his first victory. Vios OMR racers battled in the Sprint Race, while GR Yaris, GR Supra, and GR 86 owners competed in the Club Race.

The event also marked the start of the TGR Philippines eSports GT Championship 2025 qualifiers, where aspiring sim racers clocked their fastest laps for a chance to advance.
