The donations are part of the automaker’s commitments under a deal signed with DENR — coinciding last year's launch of the next-generation Toyota Tamaraw — to boost conservation efforts for the critically endangered Bubalus mindorensis, a species endemic to Mindoro.
Toyota Motor Philippines has opened its 74th dealership in Candon City, Ilocos Sur, marking another big move to serve the growing mobility needs of Northern Luzon.
Strategically located in Barangay Lapasan, Clarin, the service center aims to elevate the overall Toyota ownership experience by providing convenient, high-quality automotive care for both current and future customers.
“GT Capital’s core net income grew by 11 percent in 2024, building on the record levels achieved the previous year,” GT Capital president Carmelo Maria Luza Bautista said in a statement. “This continuous improvement reflects the group’s strong fundamentals across diversified sectors.”
The scheme provides up to two additional years or 40,000 kilometers of warranty coverage beyond the standard three-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty, subject to periodic maintenance service (PMS) compliance.
TMP chair Alfred Ty emphasized the company’s mission, stating, “I would like to remind Team Toyota Philippines of our mission of making ever-better products and creating happiness. Let us unite our efforts as one Toyota to remain number one in the hearts of every Filipino.”
Following its highly publicized return in 2024, Toyota’s Tamaraw is set for further expansion in 2025. TMP will introduce additional conversion options and services to cater to a broader customer base, including small businesses and fleet operators.
The tamaraw, or Bubalus mindorensis, is a dwarf buffalo species endemic to Mindoro Island in the Philippines. With only 500-600 individuals remaining in the wild as of 2024, it is listed as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
The camp, led by Global Team Toyota Athlete (GTTA) and world-class gymnast Carlos Yulo, aimed to empower and inspire 30 young gymnasts aged 7-16 from Metro Manila, Davao, and Cebu.
