The TGR Philippine Cup featured six sprint races and three endurance races across three weekends, determining the season winners in four classes: Novice, Promotional, Sporting, and Super Sporting.
Racing prodigy Iñigo Anton of Toyota Balintawak-Obengers Racing Team clinched the Super Sporting Class title after a commanding performance in the Endurance Race.
Meanwhile, Bong Garbes (Promotional Class), Alain Alzona (Sporting Class), and Russel Reyes (Novice Class) secured victories in their respective divisions.
The final race weekend was packed with high-energy moments, including thrilling Sprint Races and a grueling 1.5-hour Endurance Race. Fans were treated to an exciting drifting exhibition by professional drifters Dane Cruz and Hans Jimenez, as well as hot laps by GR car club members showcasing their Supra, Yaris, and 86 models.
TMP president Masando Hashimoto, who cut short a business trip to attend the finale, expressed pride in the racers and teams.
“Guided by chairman Akio Toyoda’s 'We Love Cars spirit, we can develop Philippine motorsports for the better. Because of you, we can bring motorsports closer to more Filipinos and share with them the fun-to-drive experience,” he said.
The event closed with a concert by Filipino band The Juans, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next season of the TGR Philippine Cup.
