Internationally, PAL is adding flights from Cebu, Clark, and Kalibo to Seoul, operating from late December to early March.
The airline is also strengthening its long-haul network, adding an extra weekly flight from Melbourne until January 12 and increasing Brisbane services to daily.
A new Seattle route and more wide-body planes on routes to Tokyo, Bangkok, and Singapore aim to meet growing demand.
Management’s view
“With the Christmas and New Year holidays just around the corner, we continue to build up our network of flights, adding new routes and beefing up other routes with more frequencies, even as we plan for new connections in 2025,” said PAL president and chief operating officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng.
“Our goal is to help people reunite with their loved ones, and we’re committed to expanding our services to meet the needs of our customers and make holiday travel as convenient as possible,” he added.
Ramping up domestic trips
Domestically, PAL is mounting 74 extra round-trip flights between major cities like Manila, Davao, Iloilo, and Tacloban, as well as expanding services from Cebu to popular destinations like Caticlan, Siargao, and Puerto Princesa.
On Jan. 15, PAL will introduce a daily Manila-Cauayan flight, cutting travel time for Northern Luzon residents who currently endure over a 10-hour land trip.
This peak season ramp-up follows earlier expansions, including added flights on Manila-Hanoi and Manila-Davao routes.
