At the recent Capampangan in Media Inc. (CAMI) forum in Clark, Pampanga, Meralco vice president Joe Zaldarriaga emphasized that consistent power supply is not just a utility but a cornerstone of economic progress.
Commitment to customers
Zaldarriaga, who heads corporate communications, also highlighted the company’s investments and partnerships aimed at boosting service reliability across its franchise area and beyond.
During the forum, Meralco senior vice president Arnel Casanova said local government unit (LGU) leaders from various provinces have reached out to Meralco to explore partnerships with respective electric cooperatives.
“These initiatives are designed to support LGUs in powering economic growth and uplifting the lives of their communities,” Meralco noted in the statement.
Expansion in Pampanga
Joe-Mel S. Zaporteza, chief management advisor of Pampanga Electric Cooperative II (PELCO II), showcased the significant impact of Meralco’s investments and management support.
Among these efforts is a 20-megavolt ampere (MVA) substation in Mabalacat, set to be energized early next year, to further enhance service quality.
Additionally, PELCO II, co-managed by Meralco, has acquired a new mobile substation to bolster power supply across its service area, ensuring greater reliability for its customers.
