This comes after the company bagged a key interconnection agreement with private sector-led National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Gerry Magbanua, the president of Alternergy, welcomed the agreement with NGCP. He said this partnership is crucial for meeting their Green Energy Auction 2 commitments. NGCP's support makes the project viable and on schedule, the company said.
The project's start follows the Department of Energy's approval and signing of key contracts. With a construction start notice coming in April, the project is on track for its 2025 completion goal.
