Customer base for retailers

The reopening reflects Uncle John’s strategy of maintaining a presence in high-density urban locations where consumers need affordable food options that fit into busy workdays and daily routines.

Makati’s central business district brings together office professionals, shoppers, commuters, and tourists, creating a customer base for convenience retailers offering ready-to-eat meals and essential products.

For Uncle John’s, the location provides access to customers moving between offices, shopping centers, and transport connections throughout the day.

“Glorietta is one of the country's most dynamic retail and business destinations, making it a strategic location for us to serve customers who are constantly on the move," Uncle John’s general manager Donna Leoncio said in a press statement.

"Through this reopening, we are strengthening our accessibility while continuing to deliver the quality, value, and convenience that customers have come to associate with Uncle John’s," she added.

For people on the go

Convenience stores are increasingly positioning themselves as food destinations rather than traditional outlets focused primarily on snacks, beverages, and household necessities.

Uncle John’s is responding to this shift by combining freshly prepared meals with everyday retail products in locations where customers value speed and accessibility.
