The carrier said its anniversary campaign underscores its continued focus on serving island destinations while maintaining its boutique service model despite challenges including the pandemic and volatile fuel prices.
The big picture
Sunlight Air has expanded its route network from its Clark hub to Coron, Caticlan, and Siargao, while also operating flights from Cebu to Coron, Siargao, and Siquijor.
The airline currently flies a fleet composed of ATR-600 and ATR-700 aircraft, operating daily services across its destinations.
Alongside its flight network, the airline has introduced products such as Sunlight Vacations, which bundles flights with accommodations and tours, and FlyFam, a family-focused program offering free flights for infants and additional travel assistance.
"We’re very proud to say that Sunlight Air is the only boutique airline in the Philippines, not because it makes the airline appear more ‘unique’, but because it is a testament to how we have overcome — and continuously overcome the challenges most boutique airlines are prone to," Sunlight Air CEO Ryna Brito-Garcia said in a statement.
"Despite the pandemic and fluctuating fuel prices, we have maintained the service standards that distinguished Sunlight Air from the beginning: a no-overbooking policy, wider legroom and complimentary inflight snacks, and a network exclusively serving domestic island destinations, rounding out a comfortable boutique experience on every flight," Brito-Garcia further said.
What’s happening
To celebrate its anniversary, Sunlight Air will hold on-ground activities at Mactan-Cebu International Airport and Fuente Osmeña Park on July 21 and 22, where visitors can participate in games and win prizes.
The airline is also offering promotional fares from July 22 to 23, 2026. Customers can book P99 one-way base fares to all destinations and receive 15 percent off Value and Plus fares by using the promo code SUNLIGHTDAY.
What’s next
Sunlight Air said the anniversary campaign is only the beginning of a wider rollout of promotions and network developments.
In addition to promotional fares and giveaways, the airline said passengers can expect new routes in the near future as it expands access to more destinations across the Philippines. —Ramon C. Nocon | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
