The full-year operations of its 15-megawatt Palawan Thermal Power Plant, launched in August 2023, contributed to this milestone.
In 2025, DPC plans to boost capacity by 27 percent, with 43 megawatts (MW) of projects underway, including the 12 MW Semirara Wind Project, its first renewable energy venture, set to start operations early in the year.
Other developments include an 8 MW bunker power plant in Aborlan, Palawan, expected in the first quarter, and another 8 MW plant in Masbate, operational by the second quarter.
This marks DPC’s 14th consecutive year of record-breaking performance since its launch in 2010.
Management’s view
“2024 was a breakthrough year for DMCI Power as we achieved record-high energy sales and ensured reliable operations across all our plants. The sustained growth in demand highlights our critical role in powering off-grid areas,” said DPC president Antonino E. Gatdula, Jr.
“DMCI Power remains committed to meeting the growing energy needs of off-grid areas. We were recently awarded contracts to supply 2 MW in Antique and an additional 15 MW in Palawan. Our ongoing and upcoming projects aim to deliver reliable and efficient energy solutions that support national progress,” Gatdula added.
