The Garcia family’s power company Vivant Corp. reported a 43-percent increase in net income to P2.3 billion, despite global financial pressures and local inflation challenges.

The company also gained P366.4 million in non-core income from various one-time transactions, leading to a core net income of P1.9 billion, an increase of 24 percent over the previous year.

The energy strategic business unit significantly contributed to Vivant's growth, generating P3.1 billion in income, marking a 36 percent increase.

This growth was also supported by higher electricity consumption across all grids.
