The added route gives travelers from Northern and Central Luzon a more convenient option, bypassing the congestion of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, where turboprop operations are gradually being rerouted.
AirSWIFT, now part of the Cebu Pacific network following its 2024 acquisition from Ayala Land’s ALI Capital Corp., is helping expand regional connectivity while supporting sustainable tourism goals.
Ayala Land’s Lio Estate, located just minutes from El Nido Airport, is expected to benefit from the increased tourist arrivals.
To accommodate the expected growth, El Nido Airport is undergoing capacity upgrades while maintaining its commitment to eco-conscious operations.
Ayala Land views this development as a step toward strengthening local jobs, supporting tourism, and preserving the natural beauty of Palawan for future generations.
“This new flight route is a game-changer for El Nido,” said Cris Zuluaga, head of Ayala Land leisure estates.
“With these new flights, we look forward to welcoming travelers who seek immersive, nature-focused experiences that will help drive local economic growth while ensuring that El Nido remains preserved for generations to come,” he added.
