Under the renewed agreement, Shell Fleet Solutions will continue supplying fuel and mobility support to Yanson Group companies, particularly for bus services operating across major routes in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Shell Pilipinas country manager for fleet solutions Christopher Alli said the company remains focused on helping transport operators maintain efficient and reliable operations while adapting to changing business requirements.
Keeping buses moving
The Yanson Group, one of the country’s major provincial bus operators, said dependable fuel supply and operational support are important to maintaining regular services across its route network.
Yanson Group of Bus Companies Vice President for Administration for Luzon and Visayas Atty. Julius Entila said working with a fuel provider that understands the requirements of large-scale transportation operations helps the group maintain reliable service.
Under Shell Fleet Solutions, fleet operators have access to fuel supply through Shell’s network as well as fleet management support aimed at streamlining operations, improving efficiency and strengthening business continuity.
For a large bus operator such as Yanson, fuel availability is a key part of day-to-day operations, particularly across an extensive network where service disruptions can affect thousands of passengers.
Changing mobility
The renewed agreement comes as transport companies contend with evolving mobility technologies and changing requirements in the public transportation sector.
As part of the renewal, Shell Pilipinas Vice President and General Manager for Mobility and Convenience Michael Ramolete and Yanson Group Chief Operating Officer Dr. Hernan B. Omecillo discussed trends shaping transportation and opportunities for Philippine operators.
Omecillo shared observations on transport technologies and mobility solutions being adopted in other markets, which could eventually influence how local operators manage their fleets and services.
Ramolete, meanwhile, discussed Shell’s efforts to broaden its mobility offerings to respond to the evolving requirements of transport operators and customers.
Long-term ties
The latest agreement also provides room for Shell and Yanson to explore measures aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting the long-term performance of bus services.
Shell said its fleet solutions are designed to help businesses manage fuel requirements and fleet operations while maintaining continuity.
The two companies said they would continue exploring opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen operations as the Philippine transportation sector evolves.
