The specialty food ingredients and chemicals manufacturer secured Three Golden Arrows for the second straight year at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Golden Arrow Awards held in Makati on Oct. 23.
The latest recognition adds to a seven-year run of awards for D&L, reflecting its efforts to maintain governance standards as investors place greater scrutiny on how companies are managed.
“We are proud to once again be recognized by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) with another three Golden Arrow award this year,” D&L president and CEO Alvin Lao said.
Building investor trust
The awards assess how listed companies protect shareholder rights, disclose important information and ensure their boards exercise proper oversight.
For investors, these standards help determine whether companies are being managed transparently and whether minority shareholders receive fair treatment.
“Earning this back-to-back award reaffirms the collective efforts of everyone in our company to consistently elevate how we operate our business, how we protect the trust of our customers and business partners and how we create long-term value for our shareholders,” Lao said.
Seven years of recognition
The Golden Arrow Awards are organized by the Institute of Corporate Directors, with companies evaluated against the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard, which measures governance practices against regional benchmarks.
D&L's latest three-arrow distinction marks its second consecutive year at that level, although the company has received Golden Arrow recognition in each of the past seven years.
