DMCI Holdings, Semirara Mining and Power Corp. (SMPC), and Concreat Holdings Philippines were recognized at the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard Golden Arrow Awards held in Makati City last Oct. 23.
“Good corporate governance is fundamental to building trust, strengthening our businesses, and creating sustainable long-term value for our stakeholders,” DMCI Holdings executive vice president and chief finance officer Herbert Consunji said in a statement on Tuesday.
“These recognitions affirm our commitment to upholding high standards of integrity and accountability while continuously improving our governance practices in an evolving business environment,” he added.
Three companies recognized
DMCI Holdings received Two Golden Arrows, while Semirara, the group's integrated energy business, earned Three Golden Arrows.
Concreat Holdings Philippines, the group's cement manufacturing arm, also secured Two Golden Arrows, marking its sixth overall recognition for corporate governance.
Beyond financial performance
The awards, conferred by the Institute of Corporate Directors in partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission, assess listed companies against regional and international standards covering transparency, accountability and board oversight.
The latest assessment also places greater emphasis on sustainability and resilience, reflecting growing expectations that corporate boards manage long-term risks alongside financial performance.
Listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange since 1995, DMCI Holdings has expanded beyond its construction and engineering roots into real estate, mining, power, water and cement, with most of its operations located outside Metro Manila.
