DOT, Agoda partner to boost PH tourism with exclusive deals

The Department of Tourism’s Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) has partnered with Singapore-based booking platform Agoda to boost tourism through exclusive deals and joint marketing campaigns.

The partnership takes effect immediately and will run until December 15, 2024, with travel valid through March 31, 2025, a statement showed.

The Department of Tourism recently reaffirmed its target of attracting 7.7 million visitors to the Philippines this year, following the arrival of 4 million tourists as of early September.

It aims to achieve 8.4 million visitors to the Philippines in 2025.

Exclusive promos, sharing of resources

According to the statement, the new TPB-Agoda partnership will offer exclusive discounts and co-branded campaigns aimed at attracting global travelers to both popular and hidden destinations.

Promo details will be featured on Agoda, which has 4.5 million hotels and properties on its platform, and the Travel Philippines mobile app.

“This partnership allows us to utilize cutting-edge digital marketing strategies and valuable insights to promote our unique destinations and create memorable experiences for our tourists,” TPB chief operating officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles said in the statement.

Omri Morgenshtern, CEO at Agoda, said, “We are excited to partner once again with TPB through the latest program as a significant step to leverage our digital expertise as well as our global network to showcase the myriad destinations and vibrant culture of the Philippines to a global audience.”
