Rising Hotel101 Group also wants to be sustainable design leader

DoubleDragon Corp.’s Hotel101 is taking the lead in sustainable hospitality as the Hotel101-Niseko securing the CASBEE certification. 

This achievement makes it the first project in the renowned ski resort town to obtain this accreditation.

CASBEE (Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency) is a Japanese system that evaluates and rates the environmental performance of buildings. 

Hotel101 Global, a subsidiary of DoubleDragon, aims to ensure all its projects worldwide adhere to the highest environmental and sustainability standards, striving to become a leading “green” Filipino hotel chain. The company is led by tycoons Edgar "Injap" II and Tony Tan Caktiong, the founder of the Jollibee fast food group. 

It earlier announced plans to expand to 25 countries by 2026, including Japan, Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Mexico, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Turkey, Italy, Germany, France, and China.
