Air France is expanding its reach in Asia, with new direct flights connecting Manila to Paris starting Dec. 7 this year, the French carrier said in a statement on Tuesday.

The airline will operate three flights per week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays—linking Manila with its global hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

Flights will be on the Airbus A350-900, which offers a range of options for passengers: 34 seats in Business class, 24 in Premium Economy, and 266 in Economy. The schedule for flights is as follows:

    •    AF208 departs from Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 11:20 PM (local time) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Manila at 7:30 PM the next day.

    •    AF209 departs from Manila at 9:50 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, arriving in Paris at 5:50 AM the following day.

The flight from Paris to Manila takes about 13 hours and 10 minutes, while the return flight is approximately 14 hours.

These flights are still subject to approval from relevant government authorities, according to Air France.

This move complements the service provided by KLM, which already operates four weekly flights between Manila and Amsterdam. With this coordination, Air France and KLM will offer travelers a combined daily flight service between Manila and Europe.
