So-Amprimo assumed the role on Nov. 1, 2026, succeeding Ireen Catane, who officially stepped down as country president effective Oct. 31 after four years of leadership.
The appointment is intended to ensure continuity in Schneider Electric's operations, customer and partner relationships, and strategic priorities during the leadership transition.
So-Amprimo has served as Schneider Electric Philippines' territory chief financial officer (CFO) since joining the company in 2020.
Her experience spans finance, commercial operations and business management, providing a foundation for overseeing the company's Philippine operations.
The company said her financial discipline and operational expertise would support its continued focus on energy reliability, efficiency, safety and sustainability.
Building on previous gains
Catane, who became country president in 2022, oversaw Schneider Electric's expansion across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao while strengthening its role as an energy management and technology partner.
During her tenure, the company advanced energy resilience and safety solutions, supported the digitalization of the country's first Smart Distribution Center and pursued sustainability partnerships.
These initiatives included East Asia's first fully renewable-powered factory in Cavite, reflecting Schneider Electric's efforts to integrate cleaner energy and digital technologies into industrial operations.
Catane also promoted greater inclusion within the energy and technology sector.
Digital services
The leadership transition comes as Schneider Electric continues to position its technologies around electrification, automation and digitalization across industries, businesses and homes.
Its portfolio covers intelligent devices, software-defined architectures, artificial intelligence-powered systems, digital services and advisory solutions serving buildings, data centers, factories, infrastructure and power grids.
Globally, Schneider Electric operates in more than 100 countries, with approximately 160,000 employees and one million partners. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
