Longtime MVP Group exec Chaye Cabal-Revilla takes charge of TV5

Chaye Cabal-Revilla

Finance veteran Chaye Cabal-Revilla has been tapped to lead TV5 and MediaQuest’s entertainment business.

The appointment puts one of the Manuel V. Pangilinan (MVP) Group’s most senior executives at the helm of a major Philippine television network.

Cabal-Revilla will serve as officer-in-charge while MediaQuest president and CEO Victorico “Ricky” Vargas takes a medical leave lasting a couple of months beginning Sept. 1.

A new role in media

TV5 was previously led by Guido Zaballero, who was TV5 president and CEO since 2023.

The assignment takes Cabal-Revilla beyond a career built largely in finance, telecommunications, infrastructure and healthcare.

Deep roots in the MVP Group

She is executive director and chief finance, risk and sustainability officer of Metro Pacific Investments Corp., the parent firm of utilities such as Manila Electric Co. and Maynilad Water Services Inc., as well as president and CEO of digital healthcare platform mWell.

Her influence extends across the wider group through board seats at Meralco, Maynilad, Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., Metro Pacific Health, Light Rail Manila Corp. and Landco Pacific Corp.

Before joining MPIC, Cabal-Revilla held senior finance and sustainability roles across the PLDT Group, including serving as chief financial officer of Smart and several affiliated organizations.
