PSE promotes longtime market development executive Mark Visda

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) has elevated longtime executive Mark Frederick V. Visda after nearly two decades helping develop the country’s capital markets.

Visda was promoted from assistant vice president to vice president while remaining head of the Capital Markets Development Division.

The promotion was approved on Aug. 18 and made effective July 1, according to a PSE disclosure on Tuesday. 

Visda oversees strategy, business development and innovation, issuer and investor marketing, stakeholder partnerships, as well as market data and index management.

He started his PSE career as a research analyst 19 years ago before moving through several leadership roles, including as head of the Corporate Planning and Research Department.

Visda also represents the PSE in international industry groups, including the World Federation of Exchanges, Asia and Oceania Stock Exchanges Federation and ASEAN Exchanges collaboration.

He earned an Economics degree from Ateneo de Manila University and completed coursework for a master’s degree in Economics at the same university.
