The media company nominated seven directors for election at its Aug. 19 annual stockholders’ meeting, a regulatory filing on Friday showed.
It retained chair Martin L. Lopez, president and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, First Philippine Holdings chair Federico R. Lopez, former ABS-CBN Global chief operating officer Rafael L. Lopez and independent director Honorio G. Poblador IV, founder and managing partner of private equity firm Navegar.
Santos-Concio, the former ABS-CBN president and CEO, who now serves as executive consultant, was nominated to replace economist Emmanuel S. De Dios, while STI Education Systems Holdings president and CEO Monico V. Jacob was nominated as an independent director in place of Randolf S. David.
The annual meeting was earlier delayed form its original July 24 amid an ongoing leadership at the family holding company.
Continuity at the top
The nominations also underscore ABS-CBN’s focus on leadership continuity as it continues rebuilding its business after losing its broadcast franchise in 2020.
Santos-Concio, an award-winning actress, previously served as ABS-CBN president and chief executive from 2013 to 2015 and was a director from June 2024 to June 2025 after serving on the company’s board of advisers for eight years.
Jacob brings decades of corporate leadership experience, having previously led Petron Corp., Philippine National Oil Co. and the Home Development Mutual Fund. He also serves as an independent director of Lopez Holdings.
