Globe Telecom has assured subscribers of network readiness ahead of the expected surge in mobile traffic during the Undas observance from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, particularly in cemeteries, memorial parks, transport terminals and other crowded areas.

In a statement, Globe senior vice president and head of network planning and engineering Joel Agustin said the company supports the National Telecommunications Commission's (NTC) directive to strengthen network preparedness and coordination among telecommunications providers.

Network monitoring

Agustin said Globe's technical teams have reviewed network capacity and anticipated traffic demand to prepare for increased mobile usage during the holiday period.

“Our network is ready for the expected increase in mobile traffic,” he said.

Technical personnel will monitor network performance, manage congestion and remain on standby to address potential service disruptions.

Agency coordination

Agustin said Globe would continue coordinating with the NTC, local government units and other agencies to promptly address connectivity concerns and maintain reliable services throughout Undas. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
