The operator of STI College, STI West Negros University and iACADEMY enrolled 132,941 students across 66 campuses in school year 2025–2026, down 3.7 percent from a record 138,060 a year earlier.
Net income fell 9 percent to P2.01 billion in the fiscal year ended June 2026, reversing a 38 percent profit surge in the previous year, while revenue was nearly unchanged at P5.55 billion.
College remains the backbone
Nearly four in five students were enrolled in tertiary and technical-vocational programs, helping cushion weaker basic education enrollment, which STI attributed partly to earlier class openings in public schools.
"Our performance reflects the resilience of our core education business and the continued strength of tertiary enrollment across the network," STI president and CEO Monico V. Jacob said in a statement on Wednesday.
Adapting to changing demand
The company is investing in cybersecurity, computer-aided design and other technology-focused learning tools to strengthen its appeal to students preparing for careers in increasingly digital industries.
It is also upgrading facilities and learning resources at the Philippine School of Business Administration campuses in Manila and Quezon City, which STI manages under a 2024 agreement.
STI's total assets rose 10 percent to P18.69 billion as of June, reflecting continued investments in property, equipment and other resources despite slower enrollment.
