The Filipino National Grant is intended to expand access to the school's internationally benchmarked education for qualified Filipino students while supporting Cebu's position as a destination for international education.

"The Filipino National Grant reflects our commitment not only to making international education more attainable for Filipino families but also to strengthening Cebu's role as a destination for globally recognized education,” Sarcol said.
Established in 1983, CIE British School says it is the Philippines' first Cambridge International School, offering internationally recognized education from Early Years through Cambridge Advanced (A Levels).
A member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), the school says it upholds internationally benchmarked standards that prepare students for universities, careers and communities around the world.
Access
CIE British School said the Filipino National Grant aims to make its internationally recognized education more accessible to qualified Filipino students by providing financial assistance to those who wish to study in the Philippines.
Eligible students may receive tuition assistance of P70,000 to P90,000 a year. The program is open to all grade levels, from basic education through higher education.
There is no limit on the number of grant recipients, and students are not required to meet a minimum grade requirement, provided they do not receive a failing grade.
Interested students may apply during enrollment. Applicants must submit a valid Philippine passport with at least six months' validity from the date of enrollment. The original passport must be presented for verification, while CIE will keep a photocopy for the student's records.
Applicants will also undergo entrance examinations and interviews.
Curriculum
For more than 40 years, CIE British School has been at the forefront of international education in the Philippines.
The school operates campuses in Makati, Cebu and Tacloban, offering an internationally aligned curriculum in a multicultural learning environment designed to prepare students for higher education and future careers.
School officials said the Filipino National Grant aims to help qualified Filipino students gain access to its international education program through financial assistance.
