GT Capital lands Ateneo campus in Cavite mega township

Ty family-led conglomerate GT Capital Holdings Inc. has donated a 15-hectare property inside its Riverpark township in General Trias, Cavite for a future Ateneo de Manila University campus, adding a major education anchor to its largest mixed-use development project.

The move positions Riverpark as a rising growth hub south of Metro Manila as developers race to capture long-term population and commercial expansion in Cavite.

The deed of donation was signed on May 11 at GT Tower in Makati City, months after GT Capital and Ateneo signed a memorandum of agreement in October 2025.

Riverpark is the largest township development of Federal Land and Federal Land NRE Global, the joint venture between GT Capital’s property arm and Japan’s Nomura Real Estate group.

The future Ateneo campus joins a growing lineup of projects inside the township, including the UNIQLO logistics facility and the upcoming SM City General Trias.

The area is also set to gain two Cavite-Laguna Expressway interchanges scheduled for completion between 2026 and 2027, improving access across Cavite and nearby provinces.

The expansion highlights how major developers are increasingly integrating schools, retail hubs and logistics facilities into large-scale township projects outside Metro Manila.

GT Capital is the holding company of Metrobank, Toyota Motor Philippines, Federal Land, AXA Philippines and Metro Pacific Investments Corp.
