Ateneo, Ty’s Federal Land team up for university’s first Cavite campus

GT Capital Holdings Inc. has teamed up with Ateneo de Manila University to build the Jesuit institution’s first campus in Cavite, marking a major milestone for both education and real estate development in the province.

The agreement covers a 15-hectare site inside Riverpark, GT Capital’s 600-hectare mixed-use township in General Trias being developed by its property arm, Federal Land Inc., and joint venture partner Federal Land NRE Global Inc.

“Ateneo’s presence in Riverpark not only strengthens the educational landscape of Cavite but also uplifts the lives of the communities we serve,” said GT Capital vice chair Alfred Ty.

“Our investment in this campus reflects our long-term commitment to creating sustainable value for generations of Filipinos, anchored on the values of excellence and service,” he added.

2030 opening

Slated to open by 2030, the new campus will bring Ateneo’s brand of holistic education closer to families in Cavite and neighboring provinces.

Ateneo de Manila University currently operates major campuses in Quezon City and Makati, with the upcoming Cavite site marking its first expansion outside Metro Manila under the same university system.

“The new Ateneo campus in Riverpark allows us to extend our mission and provide more families in Cavite and nearby provinces with access to quality education rooted in our Jesuit tradition,” said Ateneo president Fr. Roberto Yap, S.J.

Riverpark, described as “The Next-Gen City of the South,” is shaping up as a major urban hub, with existing and upcoming developments such as the UNIQLO Logistics Facility and SM City General Trias. Accessibility will improve further by 2026 through direct access to the Cavite-Laguna Expressway’s Open Canal Interchange.
