About the Author

Ms. Brojan was 20 when she started working as a reporter for a local paper in Cebu City in 1992 and later as correspondent of  the Philippine Daily Inquirer, covering Cebu and Central Visayas.

Four years later, the Inquirer took her in as Chief of Correspondents, later Assistant Bureau Chief for the Visayas. In 2005, she was seconded to the now defunct Cebu Daily News, Inquirer’s sister publication as its editor-in-chief. In 2011,  she returned to the Inquirer as Visayas Bureau Chief until June 30, 2025.

Ms Brojan received her Mass Communications degree from the University of the Philippines-Cebu College and Master’s Degree in Development Communication from UP-Open University.
