Ayala Corp. has secured a place in the FTSE4Good Index Series for a 12th straight year, extending its run in one of the world’s most widely followed sustainability benchmarks.

The June 2026 review also retained ACEN Corp., Ayala Land Inc., Bank of the Philippine Islands and Globe Telecom Inc., reinforcing the conglomerate’s standing among companies recognized for strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.

Why it matters

Compiled by FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is used by global investors to evaluate companies and build responsible investment funds, making inclusion an independent benchmark of a company’s sustainability performance.

“Our continued inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series affirms our belief that one does well by doing good. Our mantra must always be building businesses that support communities and enhance lives,” said Ayala president and CEO Cezar P. Consing in a statement on Thursday.

Backed by sustainable financing

The recognition comes as the Ayala Group had secured about US$6.9 billion in sustainable financing as of the end of 2025 and, in May, signed a US$100 million sustainability-linked facility with DBS Bank Ltd., its first Singapore dollar-denominated hedged loan facility.

“Continued inclusion in FTSE4Good gives investors and partners a common reference point for how we put sustainability into practice. As we align our work in health, education, community development, and sustainability under social infrastructure, benchmarks such as this help reinforce our belief in the elements that are needed to deliver progress that is measurable and lasting,” said Ayala chief social infrastructure officer Paolo F. Borromeo.

Ayala Corp., Ayala Land and Bank of the Philippine Islands have been included in the index since 2015, Globe Telecom since 2016 and ACEN since 2023.
