Global logistics provider Rhenus is strengthening its presence in the Philippines by providing sustainable warehousing services to Bosch Philippines while expanding its local logistics network through new facilities in Metro Manila.

The company said in a statement its warehousing solutions include storage, handling, fulfillment and value-added services designed to support Bosch's local operations. The services also use a fully electric fleet of material handling equipment (MHE) and warehouse processes aimed at minimizing waste.

Growing footprint

The partnership reflects Rhenus' continued investment in the Philippine market as demand grows for efficient and sustainable logistics solutions.

As part of its expansion, the company recently opened a new warehouse facility in Parañaque and established a new head office in Pasay to strengthen its local operations.

"Rhenus is committed to continually investing in the Philippines as we strengthen our local logistics capabilities," Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Philippines managing director Deepak Sharma said in the statement.

"This marks another step in supporting the market's evolving needs through reliable operations, modern facilities, and solutions tailored to customers in the country," he added.

Regional strategy

Marcus Fornell, regional head of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions for Asia-Pacific, said strategic collaborations remain central to the company's regional growth plans.

"Strategic collaborations are a key part of our regional strategy to actively expand our footprint and product portfolio," Fornell said.

"With logistics needs in the Philippines continuing to evolve, we look forward to pursuing active growth and setting new standards for logistics solutions in the markets that we are in," he added.

Rhenus also highlighted its long-standing relationship with Bosch, noting that the Bosch Group recognizes the company as a "Preferred Supplier" for overland services based on its sustained operational performance.

"Our longstanding business relationship with Bosch reflects our shared focus on operational excellence and reliable logistics support," said Ricardo Almeida, global strategic account manager at Rhenus. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
