The Philippines emerged as Singapore's sixth-largest source of tourists in 2023, with nearly 700,000 arrivals, marking an 81% increase from 2022, according to budget carrier Cebu Pacific which recently inked a deal with the city state’s authorities to promote more tourism.

In a statement, the Gokongwei family-controlled airline said it renewed its partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to enhance “destination preference”, focusing on "Fly, Stay and Cruise" holidays and Singapore's busy events calendar.

To support this growth, Cebu Pacific has increased its flight frequency on the Clark-Singapore-Clark route to daily, alongside its multiple daily flights from Manila and Cebu.

Cebu Pacific files thrice daily between Manila and Singapore, daily between Cebu and Singapore, and daily between Clark and Singapore.

Cebu Pacific chief marketing and customer experience officer Candice Iyog emphasized the airline's commitment to accessible and affordable flights, boosting Singapore's tourism and fostering cultural exchange.

The renewed partnership also features new campaign ambassadors, Megan Young and Mikael Daez, showcasing Singapore's rich heritage and modern attractions.

STB's Terrence Voon highlighted the Philippines' importance as a market, leveraging Singapore's position as a hub for world-class cruise ships and vibrant events.
