Insider Spotlight
Speaking before members of the Philippine Hospital Association, MedProjects founder and CEO Dr. Mike Muin said HealthSpace integrates a healthcare directory, an appointment system and a website builder to improve patient discovery and booking.
“Every day, while you deliver exceptional patient care, potential patients search online for your services but discover your competitors instead,” Muin said.
The strategy
The platform is aimed at facilities of all sizes — from full-service hospitals to single-practice clinics — that want to build online visibility and streamline operations.
Its directory enables location-based searches down to the barangay level, with specialty filtering and insurance coverage integration. Providers can display credentials and certifications, while the system is mobile-optimized for all devices.
Digital booking
OASIS, HealthSpace’s online appointment system, offers real-time availability, automated confirmations, and email reminders. It supports separate calendars for doctors, equipment, and treatment rooms, with patients able to see accurate schedules across all resources.
The system includes administrative controls for workflow approvals and reporting, as well as multi-department coordination and analytics to track operations.
Web presence
The site builder feature provides healthcare-specific templates and content management tools. It enables seamless appointment booking directly from the provider’s website, professional URLs aligned with branding, and integrated HMO and insurance information display.
Muin said the platform addresses a structural gap in how healthcare providers in the Philippines present themselves online, where patient searches often lead to aggregators or competitors instead of the facility’s own channels.
The bottom line
HealthSpace positions itself as a digital growth platform for Philippine healthcare, promising to help providers be “exactly where patients are looking.”
