The announcement was made during the launch of “SamPulso,” a landmark campaign uniting AC Health’s five core businesses—Healthway Medical Network, Generika Drugstore, St. Joseph Drug, IE Medica, and MedEthix—into one synchronized ecosystem. The initiative is aimed at delivering seamless, patient-centered care for Filipinos nationwide.
“Every step we’ve taken over the last 10 years has brought us closer to our vision,” said AC Health president & CEO Paolo Borromeo. “With SamPulso, we are reminded that every single one of us moves in rhythm, with a shared pulse, a shared purpose, and a shared commitment to care.”
Since its founding in 2015, AC Health has rapidly scaled its footprint. Today, it operates:
880+ retail pharmacy branches through Generika and St. Joseph Drug,
236 clinics and 6 hospitals under the Healthway Medical Network, and
1,178 product registrations via pharma units IE Medica and MedEthix.
“From a single business to five, from a small office in Makati to a nationwide presence—we’ve come far,” noted RJ Recio, chief strategy and investment officer. “Now it’s time to act as one.”
The celebration also introduced the company’s refreshed mission and values—Malasakit (compassion), Integrity, Quality, and Synergy—developed through collaboration across teams.
“Our vision moves beyond curing illness. It’s about keeping people well,” added Dr. Beverly Ho, AC Health’s chief health officer. “We aim to raise the bar for preventive care, transparency, technology, and system reform.”
Looking ahead, AC Health plans to become a $2-billion enterprise by 2035, expanding to 1,150 pharmacies, 300 clinics, and 10 hospitals. Growth will be driven by strategic acquisitions and a multi-brand retail model to further its nationwide reach.
With over 5.1 million lives touched, AC Health’s next decade is poised to reshape the way Filipinos experience care—from treatment to total wellness. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
