Temasek-backed ABC Impact completes purchase of 16% stake in Ayala Health to boost nationwide expansion

Temasek-backed ABC Impact Fund II has acquired a 16 percent stake in Ayala Healthcare Investment Holdings Inc. (AC Health), finalizing the deal on Sept. 1 to support its aggressive growth strategy.

AC Health, a subsidiary of the Zobel family’s Ayala Corp., is accelerating its decade-long healthcare push, supported by P15 billion in prior investments.

The Singapore government investment fund subscribed to over 329 million common and preferred shares and entered a shareholders’ agreement with AC Health and Ayala Corp.

Temasek, which manages over $430 billion in assets, already has significant partnerships with Ayala through Globe Telecom and renewable energy arm ACEN.

The investment will drive AC Health’s expansion to at least 10 hospitals, 300 multi-specialty clinics, and 1,150 drugstores by 2027. The group currently operates six hospitals, 236 clinics, and 880 drugstores, including the country’s first dedicated cancer care center.

The deal marks ABC Impact’s first direct venture into the Philippine healthcare sector, complementing its regional investments in Vietnam, India, and China.
