Leading HMO provider Intellicare is marking three decades in healthcare management while advancing its vision to 2026—anchored on what it calls “Leading the Ripple of Care,” a philosophy rooted in gratitude, performance, and purposeful growth.
The big picture
The company recently commemorated its milestone with a Thanksgiving event, “Pearls of Celebration,” held at the SMX Convention Center Manila on Dec. 9, 2025.
The gathering brought together employees, long-standing clients, and partners—including employee healthcare benefit administrators and intermediaries—to recognize shared contributions to Intellicare’s growth.
What they’re saying
“As we gather to celebrate Intellicare’s 30th anniversary, I am filled with a quiet sense of reflection and an overwhelming sense of honor,” said Audrey Gallardo, Intellicare executive vice president, in a press release.“Leading the Ripples of Care’ captures who we are at our core. Every act of service creates a ripple that reaches families, communities, and lives far beyond what we witness in a single moment.”
Intellicare chair Mario Silos echoed the sentiment, noting that the company’s vision was “a dream embedded in our hearts 30 years ago, carried through challenges, and sustained through every high water and storm.”
By the numbers
Intellicare’s advocacy has been matched by strong industry performance. According to the Insurance Commission’s 2025 Third Quarter HMO Report, the company recorded a net income of PHP 715 million, the highest among HMOs during the period.
Together with sister company Avega Managed Care, Inc., Intellicare accounted for roughly 39% of the industry’s total net income for the quarter.
Beyond financials
Despite the strong results, Intellicare stressed that its growth is anchored on care rather than metrics alone.
“Healthcare only happens when people choose to care consistently, ethically, and courageously,” said Jeremy Matti, Intellicare President. “We may measure progress in numbers, but our true impact lives in moments—relief after uncertainty, recovery after illness, dignity restored, hope renewed.”
What’s next
Looking ahead to 2026, Intellicare plans to expand digital access through enhancements to the AGORA App, positioning it as the primary gateway for member services. The company is also scaling up the use of electronic RCS (eRCS Express) to simplify referrals and consultation requests, alongside improvements to customer service systems and feedback tools.
To broaden access, Intellicare is rolling out Intellicare Locale, a suite of HMO programs tailored for budget-conscious MSMEs in regional growth centers.
At the same time, the company is deepening the integration of Economic, Environmental, Social, and Governance (EESG) principles across its operations—from mindful sourcing and local supplier support to encouraging sustainable workplace practices.
The bottom line
As Intellicare enters its fourth decade, the company is positioning care—not just coverage—as its competitive edge, aiming to extend the ripple of impact across the Philippine healthcare ecosystem. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
