This move marks MPH’s 28th hospital investment and reinforces its nationwide expansion strategy.
Founded in 2010 by 59 physicians and professionals, MAHMC opened in 2016 as a 109-bed Level 2 hospital along Marcos Highway, Antipolo City. It has grown into one of Rizal province’s largest hospitals, catering primarily to the “Lower Antipolo” market and serving neighboring areas such as Marikina, Pasig, Cainta, San Mateo, Binangonan and Taytay.
What they’re saying
“We are confident that MAHMC, under the leadership and management of MPH, is poised to achieve even greater things beyond medical expertise,” said outgoing president Dr. Nelson Bambalan.
“With MAHMC becoming our 17th provincial hospital, we are reaffirming our commitment to enhancing access to high-quality healthcare services to communities beyond Metro Manila,” said MPH president Augie Palisoc Jr.
Details and next steps
MPH plans to establish a new Urgent Care Center to broaden outpatient services and bring a “premium Metro Manila hospital experience” to Rizal. The company will also upgrade medical equipment and open a new cardiac catheterization laboratory—the first private facility of its kind in the province.
The bottom line
Since its first investment in Makati Medical Center in 2007, MPH has steadily built a network of premier hospitals, including Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Davao Doctors Hospital and Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod. The MAHMC deal underscores MPH’s commitment to improving access to affordable, quality healthcare nationwide. —Ed: Vanessa Hidalgo
