KonsultaMD, Healthway expand healthcare support for LANDBANK

More than 12,000 Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) employees across over 600 locations nationwide will gain access to expanded healthcare services through a digital health program integrating annual medical examinations, doctor consultations and mental health support.

Digital healthcare provider KonsultaMD, under Metro Pacific Health Tech, has partnered with Healthway Medical Network to support LANDBANK's Annual Medical Examination (AME) program, allowing employees to manage medical appointments and access professional healthcare guidance through a mobile application.

The initiative seeks to improve access to medical services for employees working in different parts of the country while encouraging continuous health monitoring beyond routine annual examinations.

Through the KonsultaMD app, employees can schedule examinations, consult doctors about their results and receive recommendations on appropriate medical care.

Continuous care

Beyond annual examinations, the platform provides round-the-clock access to licensed general practitioners and mental health consultations, enabling employees to seek medical advice throughout the year.

KonsultaMD head of B2B Florence Pacia said the program aims to help employees better understand their health conditions and make informed decisions about their well-being.

“Healthcare should not begin and end with an annual medical examination,” said Pacia.

“Together with Healthway Medical Network, KonsultaMD is helping LANDBANK employees go from getting checked to understanding their results and knowing what to do next.”

The initiative comes as Philippine employers face rising healthcare expenses and increasing demand for workplace wellness programs.

According to professional services firm Aon, medical plan costs in the Philippines are projected to increase by 14 percent in 2026, significantly exceeding the country's projected general inflation rate of 2.9 percent.

Workforce well-being

LANDBANK president and CEO Lynette Ortiz said the program reinforces the bank's commitment to supporting employees who serve customers and communities nationwide.

She said the initiative provides “accessible and comprehensive healthcare support” that promotes physical and mental well-being while helping employees continue serving Filipinos.

Healthway Multi-Specialty Centers and Corporate Health Solutions COO Edwin Magsino also emphasized the importance of investing in employee health.

He said the collaboration seeks to make healthcare services more accessible, proactive and connected for LANDBANK's workforce.

Digital healthcare

By combining annual medical examinations with telehealth services, the program aims to address gaps between routine health assessments and subsequent medical consultations.

Employees can seek professional advice on examination results and recommended follow-up care without relying solely on annual checkups.

For LANDBANK, the arrangement provides a more integrated approach to employee healthcare across its nationwide operations, particularly for personnel working outside major urban centers. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
