Veteran power industry executive Emmanuel “Manny” V. Rubio has taken over as president and CEO of SP New Energy Corp. (SPNEC), with Dennis B. Jordan, another former Aboitiz Power colleague, joining him as chief operations officer at the renewable energy unit of Manila Electric Co.
Rubio, the former president and CEO of Aboitiz Power Corp., replaces tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan at the helm of SPNEC, which was acquired by a Meralco subsidiary earlier this year.
He will also take a board seat in SPNEC, replacing Rochel R. Gloria, while Jordan takes the place of Dominador M. Camu Jr.
Rubio earlier left Aboitiz to join Meralco PowerGen Corp. while Jordan was appointed as chief operations officer.
