Lizanne Uychaco, SMIC’s chief risk officer, compliance officer, and group diversity officer, expressed gratitude for the recognition. “This award reinforces our commitment to transparency and accountability. It is shared with our stakeholders, who inspire us to continue promoting inclusivity and equality in all that we do,” she said.
The event also included an interactive commitment-signing ceremony for new and existing WEPs signatories. SMIC became the largest homegrown company in the Philippines to sign the WEPs in 2021.
