BPI Cybersecurity Conference 2025 tackles new digital threats, defenses

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is set to host the third edition of its Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection Conference on July 30, 2025, at the Makati Shangri-La. 

With the theme “Global Best Practices in Consumer Protection: New Threats and New Defenses,” the event underscores BPI’s continued commitment to advancing cybersecurity awareness and fortifying the Philippines’ digital resilience.

Why it matters:

As the country climbs the United Nations Global Cybersecurity Index, now ranked 53rd globally, the need for proactive collaboration remains high amid increasingly complex cyber threats.

“At BPI, we take our role in protecting our customers seriously. As threats continue to evolve, collaboration and education are more critical than ever,” said TG Limcaoco, BPI president and CEO.

“This year’s Cybersecurity and Consumer Conference is our commitment to sharing global best practices and strengthening collective defenses to safeguard not just individual consumers but the broader financial ecosystem.”
