The company’s winning entry, submitted under the Most Innovative Sustainability Leader of the Year category, earned both the Grand and Gold Stevie Awards in recognition of Prime Infra and its president and CEO, Guillaume Lucci, for his leadership in advancing sustainability-driven infrastructure development.
“We are honored by this recognition, which reflects the real impact of our work in delivering essential services through our projects,” said Lucci. “This award speaks to Prime Infra’s commitment to develop and operate infrastructure that addresses critical service gaps and create lasting value for the communities we serve.”
Prime Infra focuses on developing infrastructure that supports key sustainability priorities including reliable energy, clean water access, and modern waste management systems, the company said in a statement.
Among its flagship projects are:
Upper Wawa Dam, the largest dam to be built in the Philippines in over 50 years, ensuring long-term water security for Metro Manila and Rizal;
Malampaya gas field drilling campaigns, vital for sustaining the country’s only indigenous gas supply that powers 20 percent of Luzon;
Two pumped-storage hydroelectric projects totaling 2 gigawatts (GW) in capacity, aimed at enhancing energy resilience.
Prime Infra also operates in the waste management industry through Prime Integrated Waste Solutions Inc. (PWS), which won a Silver Stevie award under the Sustainability & Climate Protection Services category.
PWS operates two advanced materials recovery facilities in Cebu and Pampanga, designed to significantly cut landfill waste and curb methane emissions by recovering more usable resources.
The 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards received more than 1,000 nominations from across the region, with winners selected by more than 100 business professionals through a two-month judging process. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
