The financing firm's expansion comes as demand for accessible capital continues to grow among small businesses.
Why it matters
The company's latest initiatives were further highlighted after Asialink received three honors at the 2026 Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards in Singapore, including Finance Company of the Year – Philippines, New SME Lending Product of the Year – Philippines, and SME Financial Inclusion Initiative of the Year – Philippines.
The recognition for its Women's Access to Inclusive Support (WAIS) Loan reflects the company's focus on addressing financing gaps for women entrepreneurs.
As of April 2026, the program had served more than 6,000 women-led MSMEs and disbursed over P3 billion in loans.
By the numbers
Asialink also expanded its product portfolio with the launch of its Medium Enterprise Loan in June 2026, offering qualified businesses loans of up to P100 million with repayment terms of up to seven years to support expansion, working capital, and other growth requirements.
The company said its nationwide footprint has grown to more than 255 branches as of March 2026. Between January 2024 and April 2026, it served more than 47,000 MSMEs and clients, representing a 35-percent increase during the period, while cumulative loan releases reached P37 billion.
“Receiving these awards is a meaningful affirmation of the work we do every day to bring financing closer to more Filipinos,” president and CEO of Asialink Finance Corp. Anna Katrina Bañez said in a press statement.
“These recognitions reflect our sustained efforts to address financing gaps faced by MSMEs, particularly those in underserved and provincial communities.
For Asialink, growth is not only measured by the number of branches we open or the products we launch. It is measured by the opportunities we help create for MSMEs, families, and communities across the country,” she added.
The bottom line
Asialink is pairing product innovation with network expansion to strengthen its position in SME financing, while leveraging regional recognition to reinforce its long-term strategy of broadening financial inclusion across the Philippines. —Vanessa Hidalgo| Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
