Citi is strengthening its digital foothold among large Philippine corporations, positioning technology and its global network as key tools for companies navigating increasingly complex cross-border operations.

Driving the news

Euromoney named Citi the Best Digital Bank for Large Corporates in the Philippines as part of its Awards for Excellence, which assessed bank performance during the 2025 calendar year. The recognition was among 47 global, regional and local market awards received by Citi.

Why it matters

Large companies are increasingly looking to banks for digital infrastructure that can streamline payments, improve liquidity management and support operations across multiple markets.

Citi’s Philippine recognition highlights how global banking capabilities are being translated into digital solutions for local corporate clients.

What they’re saying

Citi Philippines CEO and banking head Paul Favila said: “We are happy to be recognized as the Best Digital Bank for Large Corporates. Citi has been on a digital journey for more than a decade, and we have seen how digitization in financial markets can be game changing for clients. As digital transformation accelerates, we remain committed to leading the way, combining our deep local expertise, unmatched global network, and nearly 125-year presence in the Philippines to help clients navigate complexity and unlock growth opportunities.”

The big picture

Citi also secured Euromoney’s ‘World's Best Bank for Large Corporates’ and ‘World's Best Bank for Securities Services’ titles, alongside regional investment banking and corporate banking recognitions across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and North America.

The awards follow Citi’s second-quarter results, when the bank posted its best quarterly revenue in a decade and double-digit revenue growth firmwide.
