Insider Spotlight

  • Epson’s ASEAN large-format printer share rose to 21.1 percent in CY2025, from 19.2 percent a year earlier
  • The Philippines was among its strongest large-format markets, with share climbing 4.7 percentage points to 26.9 percent
  • Graphic Textile remained Epson’s strongest regional category, reaching a 45.6 percent market share

Epson strengthened its footprint in Southeast Asia’s professional printing market in 2025, gaining share in large-format and signage printing while maintaining substantial positions in specialized textile and photo applications.

The expansion comes as International Data Corporation (IDC) recognized Epson as ASEAN’s leading brand for CY2025 in the Large Format Printer, Graphic Textile, Photo Graphic and Signage categories.

Designed for precision

The figures show Epson expanding across multiple professional printing segments, as businesses seek technologies designed for precision, high-quality output and evolving commercial applications.

In Large Format Printing, Epson’s ASEAN market share increased to 21.1 percent from 19.2 percent in CY2024. The Philippines reached 26.9 percent, representing a 4.7-percentage-point increase, while Indonesia rose 6.5 points to 23.2 percent. Thailand stood at 28.3 percent, Singapore at 32.8 percent and Malaysia at 16.8 percent.

Stronger segment

Graphic Textile was an even stronger segment for Epson, with regional market share increasing to 45.6 percent from 43 percent.

Singapore led at 60 percent, while Epson commanded 59.1 percent in Indonesia and 54.6 percent in the Philippines. The company supported the segment with products such as the SureColor F9530 and industry initiatives including ITMA 2025 in Singapore.

Year-on-year gains

Epson also held a 22.3 percent ASEAN market share in Photo Graphic (Aqueous Ink) printing, supported by products including the SureColor P9530 and SureColor P6530E.

Its Signage share, meanwhile, increased to 11.1 percent from 10.5 percent, alongside the CY2025 launch of the SureColor S7130, S8130 and S9130. Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia all posted year-on-year gains.

Commitment to innovation

“We’re honored to be recognized by IDC as the leading printer brand across these categories. This is a direct affirmation of our ongoing commitment to innovation and delivering high-quality printing solutions throughout ASEAN," Epson regional director of commercial and industrial products for  Southeast Asia Hattori Tai said in a press statement.
