McDonald’s Philippines is tapping into these moments through its “McDo Muna” Christmas campaign, encouraging Filipinos to pause and spend time with family, friends, classmates and colleagues amid the holiday rush.
The smaller occasions
The initiative reflects the company's strategy of making its restaurants part of customers' everyday routines, particularly during a season marked by shopping, reunions, office parties and other activities.
Rather than focusing solely on major Christmas celebrations, the campaign highlights smaller occasions, including breaks from shopping, after-party conversations and time spent with colleagues.
Appreciation of the season
McDonald’s is using familiar Filipino holiday experiences to reinforce its connection with customers and position its meals as part of both planned celebrations and spontaneous gatherings.
The campaign features a series of films depicting Filipinos finding opportunities to reconnect amid the preparations and activities surrounding Christmas.
“Christmas is filled with grand celebrations and traditions, but some of its most meaningful moments happen in the small, everyday pauses. It’s the after-party catch-ups with friends, the spontaneous stops to take a break from all the family shopping runs, and little breaks we share with officemates that deepen our appreciation of the season,” McDonald’s Philippines marketing director Yves O. Nacpil said in a press statement.
Special holiday menu
McDonald’s is preparing additional seasonal offerings to support the campaign, including a special holiday menu and promotional deals.
The campaign forms part of McDonald’s broader efforts to remain relevant to Filipino consumers through occasions that extend beyond traditional dining experiences.
