The restaurant giant was named one of four recipients of the Multi-Year Excellence Award at the 50th People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Awards Night, held October 22 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.
Why it matters
The recognition highlights how sustained investments in human capital can support business growth and organizational resilience.
The award, part of PMAP's Golden Jubilee celebrations, honors organizations that have secured at least three PMAP Awards throughout the program's 50-year history.
The track record
Jollibee Foods Corp. first received PMAP's Employer of the Year Award in 1998 and earned the distinction again in 2024.
That same year, Arsenio Sabado, Jollibee Group's global chief human resources officer, was named People Manager of the Year.
These achievements formed the basis of the latest recognition, according to a company release issued Oct. 27.
What they're saying
Ernesto Tanmantiong, Jollibee Group's global president and chief executive officer, emphasized the importance of employees in sustaining the company's growth.
"Being recognized for our people management practices over the years is especially meaningful because it reflects the dedication and contributions of the people who have shaped Jollibee Group into what it is today," Tanmantiong said.
"As we continue to grow and pursue our ambitions, we remain committed to building a workplace where our people can make a meaningful impact, realize their full potential, and find opportunities to grow alongside the company."
The bigger picture
Through its Choose Joy employer value proposition, Jollibee Group promotes employee engagement, professional development, and workplace fulfillment.
Sabado said the company must continuously adapt its people practices to evolving employee and business needs.
"Workplace excellence is not a destination, but a commitment to keep getting better. The needs of our employees and our business continue to change, and we have to keep listening, learning, and improving how we support our teams," Sabado said.
