PAL Manila-Chicago route starts Nov. 9 with three weekly flights

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is extending its introductory fare for its upcoming nonstop Manila-Chicago route as the flag carrier builds interest around one of its newest North American destinations.

The airline said travelers can book an all-in roundtrip economy fare of $517 until Aug. 31, 2026. The nonstop service is scheduled to begin Nov. 9 and will operate every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Regional specialties

The new service gives travelers from Manila direct access to Chicago, which PAL is promoting as a destination combining globally recognized architecture, museums, performing arts, dining and lakefront attractions.

PAL is also highlighting the city’s Filipino community and its influence on Chicago’s cultural scene. Filipino chefs serve classics including adobo, sinigang and pancit, while Filipino baked goods, ube-inspired desserts and regional specialties have gained local followings.

The cultural connection

Filipino visual artists are also part of Chicago’s creative landscape, contributing exhibitions, murals and community art projects exploring heritage, identity, migration and belonging.

The airline likewise pointed to Filipino musicians and performers active across jazz, indie, R&B and contemporary pop, as well as festivals and community gatherings featuring traditional dances, cuisine, artisan vendors and family activities.

Beyond the community

Visitors can explore Millennium Park, public art, architectural landmarks, world-famous museums, award-winning theater productions and the city’s lakefront attractions.

Bookings for the Manila-Chicago service are available through PAL’s website, mobile app, hotline, ticketing offices and accredited travel agents. The promotional material on page three also features the $517 introductory fare and the Nov. 9 takeoff date.
