VFS Global has introduced Premium Application Centres in Metro Manila, Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City, alongside a Mobile Visa Application Centre in Balanga City, Bataan. The facilities operate under processes and guidelines established by UK Visas and Immigration.
Why it matters
The additional locations reflect a broader push to reduce the friction involved in international travel as Filipino outbound demand grows, particularly for customers outside Metro Manila and travelers willing to pay for greater convenience.
“The strength of the UK-Philippines relationship is reflected by the growing number of Filipinos choosing to visit the UK for tourism, education and business. The expansion of visa application services will help make the application process more accessible and convenient for customers across the Philippines,” British Ambassador to the Philippines Sarah Hulton OBE said in a company release.

The premium centers target business travelers, families, senior citizens and professionals seeking more privacy and personalized assistance. They offer dedicated assistance, enhanced amenities and optional added-value services.
The mobile center in Bataan, meanwhile, brings visa submission services closer to customers in the province, providing an alternative to traveling to a standard application center.
“Filipino travelers today increasingly seek convenience, comfort and flexibility. Our Premium Application Centers offer a more personalized and comfortable submission experience, while our Mobile Visa Application Centre provides customers with greater accessibility and choice when applying for a UK visa," VFS Global chief operating officer – China, Australasia, and RCIS Simon Peachey said.
"Together, these services help make the application process more convenient while maintaining the highest standards of security, compliance and service excellence,” VFS Global chief operating officer – China, Australasia, and RCIS Simon Peachey said.
The fine print
Both premium and mobile centers are optional paid services. Customers may also pay for a UKVI Account Creation Service.
Using these services has no bearing on processing timelines or visa decisions, which remain solely with UK Visas and Immigration. Travelers can continue using standard UK Visa Application Centres in the Philippines. — Princess Daisy C. Ominga | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
