Four weekly flights
PAL plans to begin nonstop Manila-Delhi and Manila-Mumbai services in December 2026, subject to Indian Government approval. Delhi will operate three times weekly, while Mumbai will have four weekly flights.
“Opening services to Delhi and Mumbai strengthens PAL’s network in one of Asia’s most dynamic economies,” PAL president Richard Nuttall said in a press statement.
“These routes will create new opportunities for Filipinos to explore India while supporting the growing movement of travelers, businesses and goods between our two countries,” he added.
Airbus A321neo
Manila-Delhi flights will depart Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:40 p.m., arriving at 3 a.m. the next day. Return services will operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Manila-Mumbai flights will depart Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10:40 p.m., arriving at 3:05 a.m. the following day. Mumbai-Manila services will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Both routes will use PAL’s 168-seat Airbus A321neo, configured with 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 156 Economy Class seats.
Cargo capacity
The additions connect Manila directly with India’s political center in Delhi and its financial and commercial hub in Mumbai. PAL said the services will also increase cargo capacity between the Philippines and India, with shipments able to connect into its wider international network.
Filipino passport holders can also use India’s e-Visa program for travel to Delhi, Mumbai and other destinations.
International network
The India expansion extends PAL’s international network, which currently covers 40 destinations across Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East. The airline also operates 29 domestic destinations from its Manila and Cebu hubs. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
